Final project brief
The RIBA Plan of Work 2013 defines the final project brief as: 'The Initial Project Brief amended so that it is aligned with the Concept Design and any briefing decisions made during Stage 2. (Both the Concept Design and Initial Project Brief are Information Exchanges at the end of Stage 2).'
BG 78/2021, Project Information Process, written by Nick Blake and John Sands, and published by BSRIA in January 2021, in relation to the initial project brief, it states: ‘The project brief is the final stage in defining the client’s requirements for the development of a building. The RIBA Plan of Work 2013 splits this activity into two steps, the initial project brief which is an outcome from RIBA Stage 1, and the final project brief, which is an outcome from RIBA Stage 2. The final project brief is what the design of the building will be based on.’
